A hike and a meal.

So today I took my new backpack (Osprey Exos 58), out on a 4 1/2 mile hike, and I am confident that I made the right choice.

Backpack

Anyone who has gone hiking, or backpacking, or even just worn a backpack/back purse on a hot day, knows the joyous feeling of a breeze on a sweaty back when you take it off. This backpack does that without taking it off!

I loaded up everything that I have that is going to go with me into it. I’m still missing hygiene, first aid, another bottle for water, my tent and my quilt (tent was waiting for me when I got home!). My base weight with all that was 15lbs, so pretty dang good so far!

When I got home, I tested my stove, and used it to boil some water and make chicken pho for dinner. I just had a taste, and omg, it’s darn good!
